MEETING: REMINDER: 

The Hobbs Camp #768 July meeting will be a picnic!!

On Saturday 11 July at 3 p.m.  members, family, and friends will gather at the picnic area in Elkmont Rural Village.   Come on out and have a good time!

Directions:

1.       From the intersection of US 72 & Jefferson Street in Athens go north on Jefferson; this will turn into AL Hwy 127.  Drive approximately 9.3 miles and

2.      Take a left turn onto Bob Jones Pkwy.  (Note:  You will be turning left at the top of a long hill from AL Hwy 127.  There is a sign at the entrance saying that it is the Elkmont Rural Village.   If you miss your turn on Bob Jones Pkwy, you can turn around at the Piggly Wiggly.)

3.      After you make your turn onto Bob Jones Pkwy, look for signs for the picnic area and follow them.

4.      Once you get into the Elmont Village, the signs will take you down a steep hill where the payment ends and a gravel road begins.  You are headed in the right direction!!  There will be a barn on the left and the picnic area is on the right.

 

Battle of Gettysburg. Second day of battle with fighting at Little Round Top and Big Round Top, the Devil's Den, the Wheatfield, the Peach Orchard, Cemetery Hill and Culp's Hill.
